A Washer for Halloween

For Halloween last year, my son was a washer. Yep, you read that right.  A washing machine.

When we first talked about the idea, I asked him, “Are you sure you want to be a washing machine and not a superhero?” He nodded eagerly.

With a box, contact paper, and a few other supplies, I worked away on the costume, and voilá, my little guy became a washing machine.

What tickled my funny bone about this costume was watching my son take on the role of a washing machine. He’d disappear into the box and act like he was in the spin cycle, sound effects and all.

When we were talking about costume ideas for this year, my dear husband couldn’t resist throwing out the idea, “What about a dryer?” :0)

    • Thanks! I’m not real crafty, but I found some great ideas online and then tweaked them to make the costume our own. It was fun, but this year we found an adorable knight costume and decided to buy it rather than make a homemade one. :0)
