Being the mom of a first grader is a real hoot! The things my little guy says and writes bring lots of laughter to my home.

On my fridge, you’ll find a red-colored heart with my son’s handwritten description of what love is.

During my mom’s visit this last weekend, she took a moment to read Hayden’s definition of love.

With a big grin, she told me, “You really should make a copy of that and send it to Grandma.”

We both laughed as we know my beautiful-hearted grandma (Hayden’s great grandma) would get a kick out of it. I can already hear her cute giggle.
