Beyond Heaven’s Door by Max Lucado

“Your arthritic joints won’t be in heaven. Your weak heart will be strong in heaven. There is no cancer in heaven. Your new body will have a new mind. No disjointed thoughts. No memory failure. You will be like Jesus.”

~Excerpt from Beyond Heaven’s Door by Max Lucado~

In Beyond Heaven’s Door, Max Lucado explores biblical truths about what heaven will be like. This lovely book describes how to enter heaven’s doors and shares God’s beautiful promises and glimpses of what awaits us in heaven. In the final pages, Max Lucado encourages brides of Christ to prepare for the wedding to come. He writes:

“Be obsessed with your wedding date. Guard against forgetfulness. Write yourself notes. Memorize verses. Do whatever you need to do to remember. ‘Aim at what is in heaven . . . .Think only about the things of heaven’ (Col. 3:1-2). You are engaged to royalty, and your Prince is coming to take you home!”

Beyond Heaven’s Door spoke words of hope and encouragement to me. During the last several years, my family has experienced great loss of many loved ones, and this book comforted and reassured me with glimpses of what heaven will be like. It presents a beautiful  and joyous picture of what awaits us.

I highly recommend this treasure of a book.
