Autumn Splendor

Mountain views from Twin Lakes

“I love to think of nature as an unlimited broadcasting station, through which God speaks to us every hour, if we will only tune in.”

~George Washington Carver~

As a tradition, my family embarks on a day-long drive up in the Colorado mountains each autumn to enjoy the changing leaves. One of our favorite drives is over Fremont and Independence passes. The mountain views and aspens donning their brilliant fall leaves never fails to amaze us. And this year was no exception. I’m excited to share a sampling of photos I took this last weekend and in years past of this stunning autumn drive. I hope you enjoy!

  1. I just returned from Colorado where my daughter and many of our dear friends live. I miss the colors and beauty of the mountains, even the snow creates a freshness and beauty all its own. The thing I don’t miss is the cold.
Thanks for sharing some wonderful shots!
