Gratitude for Our Veterans

Each November, my son’s elementary school hosts a special Grandparents Day program. I love how his school takes time each year to honor grandparents.

Last Friday, my son and his fourth grade class performed a beautiful and touching tribute to military veterans. During their performance, pictures of grandparents who served in the military were displayed in a slide show. Below are photos of my son’s grandfather and his two great grandfathers who served in the military.

Hayden’s grandfather, Richard, who served in the Navy in the late 1950s and early 1960s.

On this special holiday–Veterans Day–I’d love to take a moment and express my deep gratitude to all of our country’s veterans. Thank you for protecting our nation and for ensuring our freedom. I’d like to send out a special thanks to my brother, Luke, and to my brother-in-law, Doug, for their service in the Air Force.
