For Halloween last year, my son was a washer. Yep, you read that right. A washing machine.
When we first talked about the idea, I asked him, “Are you sure you want to be a washing machine and not a superhero?” He nodded eagerly.
With a box, contact paper, and a few other supplies, I worked away on the costume, and voilá, my little guy became a washing machine.
What tickled my funny bone about this costume was watching my son take on the role of a washing machine. He’d disappear into the box and act like he was in the spin cycle, sound effects and all.
When we were talking about costume ideas for this year, my dear husband couldn’t resist throwing out the idea, “What about a dryer?” :0)
This is so adorable! What a creative kid! Nice work on the costume.
Aww, thanks Sarah! We had a fun time with the costume.
That’s one impressive costume! You really should consider a side business around this time of year. You could turn your entire neighborhood into Maytag appliances :). Seriously, I admire anyone with that type of creative talent.

Thanks, Traci! That would be a sight to turn all the kids in the neighborhood into Maytag appliances (lol)! :0)
Oh my stars! This costume is awesome!
Thanks, Janna! It’s so good to connect with you here! :0)
That’s so adorable! You did an amazing job on the costume; way better than I would’ve done! I’m impressed.
Thanks! I’m not real crafty, but I found some great ideas online and then tweaked them to make the costume our own. It was fun, but this year we found an adorable knight costume and decided to buy it rather than make a homemade one. :0)
