1lbboneless, skinless chicken tenders
1/2cupbuttermilk
1/2 tsp lemon peel
1/2 tspgarlic powder
1/2 tsponion powder
1 tspsea salt
3/4tspfreshly ground pepper
1/2cupall-purpose flour
3 to 3TBSPolive oil or coconut oil
Instructions
Place chicken tenders in a large shallow bowl and pour buttermilk over them. Set chicken aside for 10 minutes.
In the meantime, mix together in a small bowl the lemon peel, garlic and onion powders, salt, and pepper; set aside. Add flour to a shallow bowl.
Remove the chicken from the buttermilk and arrange chicken as a single layer on a large plate. Generously sprinkle lemon pepper mixture on one side of each piece. Roll each piece of chicken in flour until well coated.
